Oireachtas laptop stolen after break-in at TD's office According to www.hearld.ie (Tuesday 25th November 2008) Gardai are investigating a burglary in which an Oireachtas laptop containing a significant amount of private information was stolen.  The laptop was taken during a break-in at the Kildare constituency office of Labour TD Jack Wall.  The paper reports that the theft has been reported to the Data Protection Commissioner. It is thought that the classified Oireachtas laptop contained a significant amount of constituency details and that the information had been encrypted.
